We make sharp posters

This is something that doesn’t happen often — a handful of Vancouver musicians from different genres coming together for a one-off recital-style show on a gorgeous grand piano. I created a stark, high-contrast poster that approached the classical piano theme in a modern way.

This was a mixed media live performance event, performed over two nights in Vancouver, that combined live action, dance, visuals and improvised music – plus audience interaction via text-messaging.  I created an impactful poster that effectively conveyed the show’s theme of departures.

For this event I created a summery, storybook-esque poster with a distinct West Coast feel.

Dominique is a very talented friend of mine who invited me to play alongside him at his upcoming show at the Backstage Lounge. I had a bit of fun with this design as a result– the poster has a bit of a dark, cinematic feel. The image is Francisco de Goya’s “Burial of the Sardine”, care of Wikimedia Commons.
